明洪武五年（1372年）移今南充市治，为顺庆府治。①靖因之。②1913年裁府留县，属四川省。③

注：
①《明史》卷43《地理志四》：“顺庆府，元顺庆路，洪武中为府。领州二、县八：……南充，倚，北有北津渡，县旧治也。洪武中，徙今所。”（第4册，1028页）洪武中，不详何年。据《洪武实录》洪武十年五月戊寅有“顺庆府并云山、仪陇二县入蓬州”条，则十年前已改顺庆路为府。按洪武年始已有四川地，今姑作洪武五年（1372年）改路为府。洪武中徙今所，确年无考。《清嘉庆重修大清一统志》第144册，卷393《顺庆府一城池》：“顺庆府城，明洪武初筑。”今姑作洪武五年（1372年）移今南充市治。
