北宋熙宁二年（1069年）置，属彭州。四年（1071年）废入九陇县。①故址即今四川彭县西北湔江出山口处。②

②《清嘉庆一统志》第141册卷385《成都府二·古迹》：“堋口废县，在彭县西北。《九域志》：熙宁二年置堋口县，四年省为镇，入九陇县。”1989年编《彭县志》：“关口场位于湔江出口处，有牛心、寿阳二山岽西对峙，世称彭门，形势险要。历史宋、齐、梁、西魏各代置东益州、南晋寿郡冶于此。古人筑堰称堋。北宋一度设堋口县，遗迹犹存。”（104页，四川人民出版社）当在今彭县西北湔江出山口处。 ]]>
