明洪武二年（1369年）以直隶州降为浔州府属州（1）。治所即今广西横县（2）。洪武十年（1377年）降为县（3）。

注：
（1）《明史》卷45·地理6·南宁府：“元南宁路。洪武元年为府。领州七，县三。”横州：“洪武二年九月以州治宁普县省入，属浔州府。十年五月降为县，来属。十三年十一月复为州，仍置宁普县为州治，县寻废。领县一：永淳，州西，元属横州，洪武十年五月省入横县，十三年十一月复置，属州。”（中华书局，1974年，4册，1159页）。
（2）《元和郡县图志》卷38·岭南道5·横州治所宁普县：旧州治在郁江南岸，“至德移于旧州东七里郁江北岸。”（北京，中华书局，1983年，下册，951页）。即今广西横县治。其后未见迁徙记载。
