霍山县（742—970年）

唐天宝元年（742年）复置霍山县，属寿州。①故治即今安徽霍山县治。②宋开宝四年（971年）废入六安县。③

①《旧唐书》卷40《地理志三》：“寿州……天宝元年改为寿春郡。又置霍山县。”（第4册，1576页）《新唐书》卷41《地理志五》：“寿州……霍山县，上。天宝初析盛唐别置。”（第5册，1053页）
②《读史方舆纪要》卷26六安州霍山县：“天宝元年复置霍山县于此。宋省为故埠镇。属六安县。明弘治七年以六安英山相距险远，於故埠镇立今县。”（第2册，1214页）故埠镇即今霍山县治。
③《太平寰宇记》卷129寿州六安县“废霍山县，去县五十里。汉灊县也。……唐天宝中又自盛唐割地以置焉。开宝四年废入六安县。” ]]>
