和平县（1518-1911年）治所（张修桂编写）

明正德十三年（1518年）置，属惠州府，崇祯六年（1633年）改属惠州府连平州（1）。清属惠州府（2）。治所即今广东省和平县（3）。1912年废府留县（4）。

（2），《嘉庆一统志》卷445?惠州府?建置沿革?河源县：“明正德十三年，分置和平县，属惠州府，崇祯六年改属连平州。本朝仍属惠州府。”（《四部丛刊续编》，商务印书馆，1934年，166册）。
（3），县治未见迁徙记载。据宣统元年《广东舆地全图》和平县图，和平县治即今广东省和平县。
（4），《中华民国行政区划简表》11?广东省：惠阳县，“旧归善县（旧惠州府附郭首县）。民元裁府留县并改名。”有和平县。（内政部编，商务印书馆，1947年，76页）。 ]]>
