CHGIS 兴国县（507——588）治所

南朝梁置，治所在今江苏常熟市东支塘。隋开皇九年（589）平陈，废。

⑴《读史方舆纪要》卷24《江南六》南沙废县：“又兴国废县，在县东四十五里。梁置，属信义郡。隋废。元末张士诚开浚白茅，因故址筑城，周五里，曰支塘城。今为支塘市，城址犹存。自昔为戍守处。”（北京，中华书局，2册，1116页）
因无具体置县年代，暂认为在南朝梁天监六年（507）置信义郡时同时置。
