湘州（552年——557年）界线

南朝梁天监六年（507年）分桂阳郡等地另属衡州置。（1）治临湘（今湖南长沙市）。领有长沙、湘东、衡阳、零陵、营阳（永阳）、临贺、邵陵等郡。（2）550年，岳阳郡部分地改属巴陵郡，湘州辖境缩小。552年分岳阳、药山郡置罗州。陈永定元年（557年）废罗州，湘州增领岳阳郡。（3）
