隋开皇三年（583年），废普慈郡、安居郡，普州辖县：安岳县、多业县（开皇十三年改为普慈县）、柔刚县（开皇十三年改为安居县）、永康县（开皇十八年改为隆康县）①。大业三年废州入资阳郡②。
①《北周地理志》卷三《剑南》普州条，普慈郡领多业县、安岳县、永康县，安居郡领柔刚县。《隋书地理志》谓开皇初郡废，暂作开皇三年郡废。
②《元和郡县志》卷34《剑南道》普州条：“隋大业二年罢普州，以所领县属资州。武徳二年重置”。暂与其他州一致，改为大业三年改州为郡。",
