清雍正二年（1724年）蒲州属县河津割隶绛州，辖区缩小，自此蒲州领县四：临晋、荣河、万泉、猗氏①。治所即今永济县西南蒲州镇②。

“明洪武三年，复为蒲州，以河东县省入，领临晋、荣河、猗氏、万泉、河津五县……国朝因之，雍正二年升为直隶州，以临晋、荣河、万泉、猗氏四县来属。”

《钦定大清一统志》卷一百十八?绛州
河津县，“明属蒲州，本朝初因之。雍正二年改属绛州”。

蒲州府，“宋仍名河中府，为次府，治河东县……金天?六年降为蒲州……天徳元年升为河中府……元隶晋寜路治河东县……明洪武三年复为蒲州以河东县省入隶平阳府”。

蒲州（1724~1727年）界线
其时蒲州的辖境相当于今天万荣、临猗、永济三县以及芮城县西部。北界即今万荣县南张乡东薛李村①。南界即今永济县南黄河岸②。东界即今运城市泓芝驿镇张岳村③。西以黄河为界④。东南界即今芮城县古仁乡杜村⑤。
注：
①北界：光绪《山西通志》卷二十六?府州厅县考?万泉县：“县境……北至绛州河津县界薛李村二十里。”（中华书局P2384，1990年）1995年《山西省地图集》万荣县南张乡有“薛李”村，当是。
