蒙元至元三年（1266年）置。⑴治会川县（今河北青县清州镇）。辖会川、靖海、兴济3县。⑵元属河间路。明属河间府。洪武初废兴济县。洪武八年四月辛丑（1375年5月12日）废，改为清县。⑶
