金天会七年（1129年）升乐寿县置。⑴治乐寿县（今河北献县驻地乐寿镇）。⑵天德三年（1151年）改名为献州。

⑵嘉庆《清一统志》卷21《河间府一》：“乐寿……宋至道三年还属瀛州。金天会七年升为寿州，天德三年改曰献州，属河北东路。元至元二年废州，仍为乐寿县。未几复为州，属河间路。明初，省县入州。洪武八年，又降州为献县，属河间府。本朝因之。”（第8册，第2页）",
