明洪武十年（1377年）五月，静海县复属河间府，⑴辖境扩大。洪武后，领州2县16：河间、献县、阜城、肃宁、任丘、交河、青县、兴济、静海、宁津等10县和景州（领吴桥、东光、故城3县）、沧州（领南皮、盐山、庆云3县）。⑵清顺治十六年（1659年）裁兴济县。康熙年间领州2、县15：河间、献、阜城、肃宁、任丘、交河、青、静海、宁津等9县和景州（领吴桥、东光、故城3县）、沧州（领南皮、盐山、庆云3县）。⑶雍正三年三月乙巳（1725年4月19日）裁天津卫置天津州，⑷来属，辖境扩大。同年九月甲子（11月4日）升天津州为直隶州，以青、静海三县往属，⑸辖境缩小。
