隋开皇七年（587年）移治西戍，十年移于今理。⑴治所在今邯郸市西南峰峰矿区临水镇。⑵先后属相州、魏郡。⑶唐武德六年（623年）废。⑷

按：因“西戍”不详所在，暂作与“今理”为相近之点，不作迁治处理。待详考。
⑵《太平寰宇记》卷56《河北道五》：“昭义县，（磁州）西三十五里。”因磁州治所未变，均在今河北磁县驻地，且今《河北省地图集》邯郸市西南峰峰矿区有临水镇，和磁县间距离，与《寰宇记》记载相近，当是。参见《河北省志》第2卷《建置志》，河北人民出版社1993年第92页。
