北齐文宣帝分邺县置。⑴治所即今河北成安县驻地。属清都尹。北周属魏郡。隋开皇三年（583年）属相州。大业三年（607年）属魏郡。唐武德元年（618年）属礠州。贞观元年（627年）复属相州。⑵天宝元年（742年）属邺郡，乾元元年（758年）复属相州。⑶唐天祐二年（903年）改名斥丘县。⑷
