明洪武元年（1368年）改广平路置。⑴治永年县（今河北永年县驻地东南广府镇）。领州2县10县：永年、曲周、肥乡、鸡泽、广平县和磁州（领滏阳、武安、邯郸、成安4县）、威州（领井陉县）。洪武元年以磁州邯郸县直属府，裁成安县。⑵洪武二年四月甲戌（1369年5月16日）析磁州及武安县往属河南省彰德府，降威州为县。⑶又以井陉县改属真定府。⑷辖境有变化。
