蒙元太宗十三年（1241年），祁州、完州改隶顺天府，辖境缩小。改隶真定路。⑴明洪武元年（1368年）十月属河南分省。⑵

⑴《元史》卷58《地理一》：“旧领祁、完二州。太宗十一年，割二州隶顺天府，后为散府，隶真定。”（第5册，1357页）按：降为散府无具体时间，现暂作同一年进行。
按：顺天路始置年份，据《元史》中华书局《校勘记》：“按《混一方舆胜览》，辛丑年，割出雄、易、保、遂、安肃五州立顺天路。又本书卷一四七《张柔传》有‘辛丑，升保州为顺天府’。元太宗十三年辛丑，‘一’误，今改。《本证》已校。”（1385页）在太宗十三年。
⑵《明太祖实录》卷38：“改中山府为定州，隶真定府。复以真定府隶山东。”（《明实录》，第2册，780页）按：中山府在元代属真定路，明洪武元年（1368年）改真定路为真定府并属河南分省，中山府当与真定府并列，同属河南分省。",
