约北宋末复析安肃县置安肃军，⑴辖境缩小。金大定十六年（1176年）治清苑县（今河北保定市区）。大定二十八年（1188年）增领满城县。⑶蒙古太宗十三年（1241年）升为顺天路。⑷

⑴《宋史》卷86《地理二》：“宣和七年，废军为安肃县。知县事仍兼军使，寻依旧。”（中华书局，第7册，第2130页）
按：暂作靖康元年（1126年）复置安肃军。
⑵嘉庆《清一统志》卷12《保定府一》：“五代晋初入辽，置泰州。开运二年克复，仍废为清苑县。宋建隆元年于县置保州，仍改县曰保塞，为州治。金大定十六年，复曰清苑。元为保定路治。明为保定府治。本朝因之。”（第6册，第2页）

《圣朝混一方舆胜览》卷上：大都路“元领大兴府一，通、蓟、海、霸、雄、易、保、遂、安肃、檀、顺州十一。辛丑年，割出雄、易、保、遂、安肃五州立顺天路。”（《北京图书馆藏珍本丛书》，第7页）
《元史》卷58《地理一》：“元太宗十（一）[三]年，升顺天路，置总管府。”（中华书局，第5册，第1354页）又《校勘记》：“按《混一方舆胜览》，辛丑年，割出雄、易、保、遂、安肃五州立顺天路。又本书卷一四七《张柔传》有‘辛丑，升保州为顺天府’。元太宗十三年辛丑，‘一’误，今改。《本证》已校。”（1385页）
一说升为顺天府，后改顺天路。
《元史》卷147《张柔传》：“辛丑，升保州为顺天府。”（中华书局，第11册，第3475页）
又卷8《世祖五》：至元十二年十一月，“改顺天（府）[路]为保定（府）[路]。”（第1册，第170页）
又卷58《地理一》：雄州，至元“十二年改（属）顺天路为保定路，二十三年，复以雄州隶之。”（第5册，1355页）
弘治《保定郡志》卷1《地理》：“元世祖至元二年改元帅府为顺天府，以唐县隶之。……二十三年，立顺天路。（割雄、保、易、遂、安肃五州隶之。）二十四年立保定路，割雄州、易州唐县隶之。”（《天一阁藏明代方志选刊》，第4册）",
