秦县。⑴治所在今河北任丘市北鄚州镇。⑵秦属河间郡。西汉属涿郡。新莽时改名言符。⑶

⑴后晓荣：《秦代政区地理》：“1965年河北任丘古州分洪道出土战国燕系‘莫’戈。‘莫’即‘鄚’，地名。……此‘鄚’即为《汉志》涿郡鄚县之前身，估计秦一统郡县制，或改燕鄚都为鄚县，属河间郡。其故址在今河北省任丘市北三十五里鄚州镇。”（社会科学文献出版社2009年版，第364页。）

按：据《汉书》卷99中《王莽传中》：天凤元年（14年），“郡县以亭为名者三百六十，以应符命文也”。又曰：郡有内郡、近郡、边郡，“合百二十有五郡。九州之内，县二千二百有三”。（12册，4136—4137页）据此，姑作县在新莽天凤元年（14年）改名。",
