秦县。⑴治所在今河北望都县望都镇西南。⑵秦属恒山郡。西汉先后属中山国、郡。⑶东汉建武六年（30年）废。⑷

⑴后晓荣：《秦代政区地理》：“战国赵三孔布有‘亲处’布，释读为‘新处’。《汉志》中山国属县新处，此地原为中山国，后属赵。从币文可知，赵置新处县，西汉沿置，推之秦也设置此县，其故址在今河北定县东北。”（社会科学文献出版社2009年版，第355页。）

按：据《汉书》卷99中《王莽传中》：天凤元年（14年），“郡县以亭为名者三百六十，以应符命文也”。又曰：郡有内郡、近郡、边郡，“合百二十有五郡。九州之内，县二千二百有三”。（12册，4136—4137页）据此，姑作县在新莽天凤元年（14年）改名。
⑷《后汉书》卷1下《光武帝纪下》：建武六年（30年）六月“于是条奏并省四百余县，吏职减损，十置其一。”（第1册，第49页）
又《郡国一》：“凡前志有县名，今所不载者，皆世祖所并省也。”（第12册，第3385页）。",
