汉宣帝本始元年（前73年）封。⑴治所在今河北辛集市东北。⑵属巨鹿郡。新莽时国除。⑶

⑵嘉庆《清一统志》卷14：“安定故城，在束鹿縣西北三十里。漢本始元年，封燕刺王子賢為侯國。後漢初，馬武從世祖撃尤來五幡等，進至安定，即此。尋廢。《魏書?地形志》：鄡縣有安定城。《舊唐書?地理志》：束鹿縣，漢安定侯國，今縣西七里故城是也。”（第7页A）
