西汉武帝元朔三年（前126年）封。⑴治所在今河北隆尧县隆尧镇北户曹村。⑵属巨鹿郡。新莽时国除，改为宁昌县。⑶

⑵嘉庆《清一统志》卷：“象氏废县，在隆平县东北二十五里。汉元朔三年，封赵敬肃王子贺为侯国，属巨鹿郡。后汉废。《寰宇记》：古象城，在昭庆县西北三十里，隋因以名县。《明统志》：在县东北三十五里。《赵记》：舜弟象尝居此。”（第10页A）
