唐贞观三年（629年）移治双桥，谷州治，六年（632年）属谷州，显庆二年（657年）属洛州，开元元年（713年）属河南府（1）。宋同（2）。金兴定元年（1217年）属金昌府（3），正大三年（1226年）升为韶州（4）。治今河南渑池（5）。

（1）《旧唐书》卷38《地理志一》：河南府，开元元年改洛州为河南府。渑池，隋旧，治大坞城。贞观元年移谷州治于此，三年县南移于双桥。其年，谷州又移于双桥。六年，又移理于福昌。显庆二年十二月，废谷州，隶洛州。（北京，中华书局，1975年，5册，1424页）《大明清类天文分野之书》卷17：河南府黾池县，作贞观元年县徙今治，五代宋因之。（复旦大学藏本）今从《旧唐书?地理志》。
