东魏天平二年（535年）改名宜迁，属河南郡（1），约北周大象二年（580年）复名河南（2）。治今河南洛阳市西工区王城公园一带（4）。

（2）《元和郡县志》卷5《河南道一》：河南县，后魏静帝改为宜迁县，周宣帝复为河南。隋仁寿四年迁都，移县东都城内宽政坊，即今县是也。（北京，中华书局，1983年，上册，131页）《太平寰宇记》卷3《西京一》：河南县，历魏、晋 及后魏皆理于今苑城东北隅，后周大象二年移于故洛城西。（北京，中华书局，2007年，1册，46页）大象为周宣帝年号，共二年，今作移县治同改。
（3）汉河南县故址在今洛阳市西工区王城公园一带西周所筑王城遗址范围内。是50年代在寻找东周王城时发现的，城址平面近正方形，城墙夯土筑造，周长5400米，南北两墙相距约1410米，东西两土墙相距约1485米，基宽6米以上。出土“河南太守章”等封泥。（《20世纪河南考古发现与研究》，中州古籍出版社，1997年，522页）《中国文物地图集?河南分册》：文物单位简解，汉河南县城，王城公园一带，汉代。1954年勘探试掘，形制小于王城，城垣已全部淹没地下。（北京，中国地图出版社，1991年，102页）",
