  隋开皇六年（586年）置，属汴州，九年（589年）属杞州，十六年属（596年）滑州，大业二年（606年）属兖州，三年（607年）属东郡（1）。唐武德元年（618年），属滑州，天宝元年（742年）属灵昌郡，乾元元年（758年）又滑州（2）。宋雍熙四年（987年）属澶州，崇宁五年（1072年）属开德府（3）。约金天会五年（1127年）废入白马县（4）。治今河南滑县东南29公里万古乡妹村（5）。
