东汉永元十二年（100年）析鄢县置（1），属陈留郡（2）；三国魏黄初三年（222）属陈留国，五年（224年）复属陈留郡，太和六年（232年）又属陈留国（3），约西晋泰始二年（266年）省（4）。治今河南宁陵县西南已吾城（5）。

注：
（1）《水经注疏》卷23《阴沟水》：谷水又东南迳已吾县故城西，《陈留风俗传》曰，县故宋也，杂以陈、楚之地，故梁国宁陵县之徙种龙乡也。以成、哀之世，户至八、九千，冠带之徒，求置县矣。永元十一年，陈王削地，以大棘乡、直阳乡，十二年，自鄢隶之，命以嘉名曰已吾，犹有陈、楚之俗矣。（南京，江苏古籍出版社，1989年，中册，1942-3页）
