蒙古太宗五年（1233年）入元，泰康仍作太康，属开封府，元至元二十五年（1288年）属汴梁路（1）。明洪武元年（1368年）属开封府（2）。清初不改（3），雍正十二年八月辛酉（1734.9.5）属陈州府（4），至1911年不变（5）。即今河南太康县（6）。

注：
（1）《元史》卷62《地理志》：河南江北行省汴梁路，石晋开封府，宋为东京，金改南京，金亡归附，领太康。至元二十五年，改南京路为汴梁路。（北京，中华书局，1976年，5册，1401页）卷2《太宗纪》：五年“蒙古入南京。”（1册，32页）按：《元志》未记开封府，也未载元取南京路后有无开封府，卷6《世祖纪》：至元二年“诸路州府，若自古名都，户数繁庶，且当冲要者，不须改并。”（1册，107页）卷168《陈祐传》：至元十三年，授南京总管，兼开封府尹。（13册，3941页）据上，至迟在至元十三年仍有开封府，唐以后京（都）下行政机构为府，则撤销开封府当在改南京路为汴梁路时，即至元二十五年。
