北周武帝保定元年（561年）废郡，并会稽、新乡、延兴为会稽县，属晋昌郡。治所在今甘肃玉门市西。①
隋开皇十年（590年），复为玉门县。②

注：
① 《隋书》卷二十九?地理上：“玉门，后魏置会稽郡。后周废郡，并会稽、新乡、延兴为会稽县。”（第816页。）又，《元和郡县图志》卷四十?陇右道下：“玉门县，……周武帝省入会川县。”疑会川县即为《隋书》所云会稽县。又，《嘉庆一统志》云：“东晋时，西凉分置会稽郡。”然此事无更多史料可资确证。
