唐天宝元年（742）改罢交为延昌，属延安郡。乾元元年（758）属延州。①唐末废。②治今陕西安塞县化子坪。③ 

注：
①《旧唐书》卷38?志第十八?地理一?延州中都督府：隋延安郡。武德元年，改为延州总管府，领肤施、丰林、延川三县，管南平、北武、东夏三州。四年，又管丹、广、达三州。贞观元年，罢都督府。开元二年，复置都督府，领丹、绥、浑等州。天宝元年，改为延安郡。干元元年，复为延州。……延昌，武德二年，置北平州。贞观三年废，十年于废州置罢交县。天宝元年，改名为延昌县。（中华书局，1975 年，5 册，1410 页）
