东汉永元九年（97）复置，属左冯翊，①三国魏属冯翊郡，②晋③、十六国前赵、后赵、前秦、后秦同。④义熙十三年（417 ）入于东晋，⑤昌武元年（418 ）入于夏，⑥始光三年十二月（427 ）入于北魏，⑦胜光元年（428 ）复入夏，⑧约神 (鹿加)三年(431)又入于北魏废入白水县。⑨治今白水县西北方城一带。⑩
