东汉更始元年（23）改监晋为临晋，①属左冯翊，治今大荔县朝邑镇西南二里。②

注：

②《读史方舆纪要》卷54?陕西三：同州……朝邑县，临晋城，在县西南二里。本大荔国，或曰本晋邑，后属魏。……亦曰应亭。昭襄王五年魏王来朝应亭，即临晋也。秦取其地，尝筑高垒以临晋国，因名。汉王初定三秦，自临晋渡河而东。后复置县，属左冯翊。后汉因之，灵帝时封杨赐为侯邑。晋以冯翊郡治临晋，寻废。后魏改置南五泉县，西魏为朝邑县，隋、唐因之。（中华书局，2005 年，5 册，2605 页）",
