后周显德六年（959 年）复置华亭县，为义州治。宋太平兴国二年（977年）改属仪州。熙宁五年（1072 年）废仪州，以县属渭州①。金大定二十六年（1186 年）属平凉府②。元、明、清因之。治所在今甘肃华亭县③。
