元（1234 年）于祐川县复置岷州，属巩昌路①。至元八年割属图沙玛路②。明洪武四年（1371 年）废，改置岷州所③。治所在今甘肃省岷县④。
①《明一统志》卷37《岷州衛軍民指挥使司》条：“元于祐川县境复置岷州，属吐蕃等处宣慰都元帅府。本朝洪武十一年置岷州卫军民指挥使司，隶陜西都司”。雍正《甘肃通志》卷三上《建置沿革》巩昌府岷州条：“宁宗时复入于金。元复置岷州，属巩昌路。至元八年割属吐蕃等处宣慰司。明洪武十一年废州置岷州卫，隶陜西行都司”。段案：至元八年蒙古改国号为元，故以蒙古灭金为复置岷州时间。
