明洪武九年（1376年）降德安府置。属武昌府。（1）治今湖北省安陆市。领有云梦县。（2）十三年（1380年）五月复升为德安府。（3）

注：
（1）《太祖实录》卷105洪武九年四月甲午：“改德安府为德安州。……隶黄州府。”又十一月午申：“以德安州隶武昌府。”（《明实录》，台湾中央研究院历史语言研究所校印，《太祖实录》3册，1757、1829页）《明史》卷44《地理志五•湖广》德安府曰：洪武“九年四月降为州，属黄州府。十一月属武昌府”。（北京，中华书局，1974年，4册，1078页）按：隶黄州府时间短，不予表示。而李贤《大明一统志》卷61《德安府》下曰：“本朝洪武初改德安州，隶黄州府。十三年复为德安府。”（西安，三秦出版社，1990年，下册，926页）顾祖禹《读史方舆纪要》卷77《湖广》德安府：“明吴元年（1367年），改德安州。”（北京，中华书局，1955年，4册，3292页）与之不同。
