南宋绍兴五年（1135年）迁置，治中庐镇（今湖北南漳县东北旧县铺）。属襄阳郡。（1）元至元十年（1273年）属襄阳路。（2）十四年（1277年）徙治今县。（3）

（2）《元史》卷8《世祖纪》：至元十年，冬十月“升襄阳府为路”。而卷59《地理志二•河南江北等处行中书省》襄阳路：宋为襄阳府。元至元十年，更襄阳府为散府。“十一年（1274年），改襄阳府为总管府。”领有南漳县。（北京，中华书局，1976年，1册，152页；5册，1409页）按：故作元至元十年（1273年）升为路，领有宜城县。邱树森《元史辞典》谓：元太宗八年（1236年），仍立南漳县，隶襄阳路。十年陷于宋，至元十年复，仍更襄阳府立襄阳路。（山东济南，山东教育出版社，2002年，569页）与之不同。
（3）清《嘉庆一统志》卷346《襄州府•建置沿革》南漳县：“绍兴五年（1135年），迁治中庐镇，元仍还旧治。”（《四部丛刊续编》，商务印书馆，1934年，128册，2页）按：具体年代未详，据《元史》卷9《世祖纪》至元十四年（1277年）夏四月丙：“均州复立南漳县”。（北京，中华书局，1976年，1册，190页）姑作蒙古十四年（1277年）迁还旧治。旧南漳县治，以清《嘉庆一统志》卷347《襄阳府•古迹》重阳故城：“在南漳县西南。”（《四部丛刊续编》，商务印书馆，1934年，128册，3页）王仲荦《北周地理志》卷5《山南下•襄州》：南襄阳郡治思安。“思安，今湖北南漳县城关。西魏曰重阳，北周改曰思安。”（北京，中华书局，1980年，上册，477页）后改为南漳，则南漳县治即思安县治。“南漳县西南”，当即在今湖北南漳县城关镇中。",
