（1）顾祖禹《读史方舆纪要》卷79《湖广五•襄阳府》襄阳县樊城：“承圣末，属于西魏，置樊城县，又置安养县及河南郡于此。”（北京，中华书局，1955年，4册，3374、3375页）据《隋书》卷31《地理志下•襄阳郡》安养县：“西魏置河南郡。”（北京，中华书局，1973年，3册，891页）清杨守敬《隋书地理志考证附补遗》卷9《襄阳郡》西魏改曰襄州：“《元和志》西魏恭帝改雍州为襄州。按：恭帝二年（555年）平江陵，襄阳始归西魏。”（《二十五史补编》，北京，中华书局，1956年，4册，4905页）又《襄樊市志》：“西魏，恭帝元年冬，魏师攻取襄阳，设襄州、蔡州……，共8州28郡45县。襄州治襄阳，领襄阳、河南、山都……等13郡。”（湖北省襄樊市地方志编纂委员会编，中国城市出版社，1994年，39页）按：故作西魏恭帝二年（555年）置安养县及樊城县。樊城县属河南郡。
