  "source note" : "新城县（1378年——1912年）<br><br>明洪武十一年（1378年）复置，属济南府（1）。治今桓台县西桓台城（2）。清因之（3）。民国三年（1914年）改名桓台县（4）。<br><br><br><br>注：<br>（1）《明史》卷４１《地理志二》：济南府新城县，“元属般阳路。洪武二年七月来属。七年十二月省入长山、高苑二县，后复置。”（北京，中华书局，1974年，4册，936页），云“后复置”，不记复置年代，清《嘉庆重修一统志》卷162《济南府·建置沿革》：新城县，元属般阳路，“明洪武十二年，改属济南府。”（《四部丛刊续编》，商务印书馆，1934年，57册，3页）按新城县元属般阳路，明洪武二年改属济南府，载于上引《明史·地理志》，此云明洪武十二年改属，不可信，但据此可知明洪武十二年前已复置，其复置年代已不可考，约在明洪武十一年。<br>（2）《续山东考古录》卷2《济南府·新城县》：元置新城县，“即今治。”王汝涛点注：“即今淄博市桓台县驻地索镇西13·3公里老梧河北岸之新城镇，1914年更名为桓台县，1950年移治索镇。明之新城县同此注。”（济南市，山东文艺出版社，1997年，80—81页）即今桓台县西桓台城（《山东省地图集》，136—137页）<br>（3）清《嘉庆重修一统志》卷162《济南府·建置沿革》：新城县，元属般阳路，明属济南府。“本朝因之。”（《四部丛刊续编》，商务印书馆，1934年，57册，3页）《清史稿》卷61《地理志六》：济南府领县十五，其一新城（北京，中华书局，1977年，8册，2046—2047页）<br>（4）《中华民国行政区域简表》：山东省桓台县县，“旧新城县，民国三年一月改名。”（内政部编，商务印书馆，1947年，120页）",
