①《新唐书》卷40《地理志三》：“舒州怀宁县“武德五年析置皖城、安乐、梅城、皖阳四县，是年省安乐，七年省皖城、梅城、皖阳。”（第4册，1054页）
②《清嘉庆一统志》第36册，卷110《安庆府二古迹》：“皖城故城，在潜山县北。”《太平寰宇记》卷125舒州怀宁县：“废皖城城，武德五年大使王宏让析置在古逢龙城内。按《魏志》臧霸讨吴将韩当，当引兵逆战于逢龙，即此地。其城居皖水之北，遂号为皖城。至七年使人萧俨并入怀宁，废城壕堑，今尚依旧。”（光绪金陵书局本）按：北宋初怀宁县治即今安徽潜山县（梅城镇）治，今姑以县北后河（皖水）之北杜埠当之。见《安徽省地图册》，中国地图出版社，2002年。",
