（2）《史记》卷56《曹相国世家·正义》引《括地志》：“故留城在徐州渍县东南五十里，张良所封。”（北京，中华书局，1959年，6册，2028页）按唐沛县，即今沛县，则故沛县，在今沛县东南五十里，微山湖西岸。
（3）清《嘉庆一统志》卷101《徐州府·古迹》：留县故城，“北齐废隋开皇十六年复置，仍属彭城郡，唐初废。”（《四部丛刊续编》，商务印书馆，1934年，33册，3页）按唐初何年废，诸书不载，考《旧唐书》卷38《地理志一》：徐州，武德四年，置徐州总管府，“徐州领彭城楼、萧、沛、丰、滕、符离七县。”（北京，中华书局，1975年，5册，1447页）则武德四年时，徐州已无留县，其废当在此前的三年（620年）",
