南宋绍兴十二年（1142年）徙泰兴县于今泰兴县西北口岸镇，属扬州（1）。绍兴十四年（1144年）徙治今泰兴县（2）。
注：
（1）《宋史》卷88《地理志四》：扬州泰兴县，绍兴十二年，“以柴墟镇延令村隶海陵。”（同上引书）所云“延令村隶海陵”，当是延令村改属海陵县，而泰兴县复徙治柴墟镇，即今县西北口岸镇。《舆地纪胜》卷37《淮南东路》扬州泰兴县：绍兴十四年，“复隶扬州，而以柴墟镇之延冷村易之。”（北京，中华书局影印本，1992年，2册，1558——1559页）所指实为一事，唯十二年作十四年，今从《宋史·地理志》。
（2）清《嘉庆一统志》卷106《通州·古迹》：泰兴旧县，“绍兴十四年，又徙延令村。”（《四部丛刊续编》，商务印书馆，1934年，35册，7页）光绪《泰兴县志》卷9《建置志》：“延令村，今县治。”则南宋绍兴十四年复徙今泰兴县。",
