汉元朔元年（公元前128年）置（1）。治今江苏沛县东吴楼附近（2）。属沛郡（3）。元鼎五年（公元前112年）废（4）。
注：
（1）（4）《汉书》卷15《王子侯表上》：“广戚节侯将，鲁共王子，元朔元年（公元前128年）十月丁酉封，薨。侯始嗣，元鼎五年（公元前112年），坐酎金免。”（北京，中华书局，1962年，2册，437页）
（2）《太平寰宇记》卷15《河南道十五》沛县：沛宫，在县东南一里，“今在广戚城中。”（金陵书局，光绪八年刊本，4册，8页）《史记》卷8《高祖本纪》《正义》引《括地志》云；“沛宫故地在徐州东南二十里一步。”（北京，中华书局，1959年，2册，390页）按唐宋沛县，即今沛县，据此，《寰宇记》所记广戚城中之沛宫，即，括地志》所云之沛宫故城，，《寰宇记》所谓之一里必为二十里之误，则广戚县在今沛县东二十里，今县东吴楼（《江苏省地图集》，江苏省地图集编辑组，1978年，64页）里距正合，县在其附近。
