隋开皇三年（583年）改承高县置，属徐州（1）治今安徽萧县西北三台山（2）。开皇十八年（598年）改为临沛县（3）。

武维翰乃迁治于三台山之南，西北去旧城十里，即今治也。”（《四部丛刊续编》，商务印书馆，1934年，33册，1——2页）按今萧县西北三台山（《安徽省地图集》，中国地图出版社，2002年，45页）则秦至明万历四年萧县治三台山。北齐天保七年改为承高县，隋开皇三年改为龙城县，十八年改为临沛县。
（3）《元和郡县图志》卷九《河南道五》徐州萧县；“北齐改为承高县，属彭城郡。隋开皇三年罢郡，属徐州，改为龙城县。”（北京，中华书局，1983年，上册，226页）《太平寰宇记》卷15《河南道十五》同（同上（1）引书）一作隋开皇六年，《隋书》卷31《地理志下》：萧县，北齐承高县，“开皇六年改为龙城，十八年改为临沛。”（北京，中华书局，1973年，3册，870页）《隋书》卷31《地理志下》：彭城郡萧县，北齐为承高县，“开皇六年改为龙城，十八年改为临沛，大业初改曰萧。”（北京，中华书局，1973年，3册，870页）按隋大业三年（607年）改州为郡，大业初县改名当在此时。",
