注：
（1）《元史》卷59《地理志二》：淮安路，“至元十四年，改立总管府，领山阳、盐城、淮安、淮阴、新城、清河、桃园七县。”（北京，中华书局，1976年，5册，1415页）新城县当置于至元十四年。
（2）清《嘉庆一统志》卷94《淮安府·古迹》：“新城废县，在山阳县西三十里。”按清山阳县，即今淮安市，以方位里距推计，约今淮安市西黄码头（《江苏省地图集》，江苏省地图集编辑组，1978年，55页）附近。
