唐武德四年（621年）徙安宜县于今江苏宝应县，属仓州（1）。七年属楚州，天宝元年（742年）属淮阴郡，乾元元年（758年）仍属楚州，上元三年（762年）改为宝应县（2）。

（1）《读史方舆纪要》卷23《江南五》：宝应县，安宜城，在县西南，汉县治此，“唐初县改今治。”（北京，中华书局，1955年，2册，1081页）按明清宝应县，即今宝应县，唐初之何年，史无记载。《旧唐书》卷40《地理志三》：宝应县，“武德四年（621年），置仓州，领安宜一县（北京，中华书局，1975年，5册，1573页）约安宜县改置仓州时徙今宝应县。
（2）《旧唐书》卷40《地理志三》：楚州，“天宝元年，改为淮阴郡，乾元元年，复为楚州。”宝应县，“武德四年（621年），置仓州，领安宜一县，七年，州废，县属楚州。肃宗上元三年（762年）建巳月，于此县得定国宝十三枚，因改元宝应，仍改安宜为宝应。”（北京，中华书局，1975年，5册，1573页）按《舆地纪胜》卷39《淮南东路》楚州宝应县：上元二年（761年）“改安宜县为宝应县。”（北京，中华书局影印本，1992年，2册，1643页）相差一年。",
