隋开皇十年（590年）以希平县改名，属连州，大业三年（607年）属熙平郡（1）。治所在今连山壮族瑶族自治县东北太保镇（2）。唐武德四年（621年）省（3）。

《隋书》卷31?熙平郡：“平陈，置连州，统县九：桂阳，梁置阳山郡，平陈郡废，大业初置熙平郡。”熙平县：“旧置齐乐郡，平陈，郡废。”（北京，中华书局，1973年，3册，896页）。
（2），《嘉庆一统志》卷455?连山直隶州厅?古迹?熙平废县：“在厅西北。齐置希平县，为齐乐郡治。隋平陈，废郡，改名熙平。唐省。”（《四部丛刊续编》，商务印书馆，1934年，170册）。废县在连山厅西北，姑定于今连山壮族瑶族自治东北太保镇。
