（1），《南齐书》卷14?州郡志上?广州?义安郡：领县六，有程乡县。（北京，中华书局，1972年，1册，263页）。作齐建元元年置。
（2），《嘉庆一统志》卷446?嘉应州?古迹?程乡故城：“在州西。…旧志，县故址在今西城外曾井之东。”山川：“曾井，在州西一里。”（《四部丛刊续编》，商务印书馆，1934年，166册）。宣统元年《广东地舆全图》嘉应州图：清嘉应州即今广东省梅州市。（台湾，成文出版社《中国方志丛书》第108号）。据此，程乡县故址即今广东省梅州市。
（3），《元和郡县图志》卷34?岭南道?潮州?程乡县：“本汉揭阳县地，齐于此置程乡县，盖分海阳县立焉，属义安郡。隋开皇十年省，十一年置潮州，复立程乡县属焉。”（北京，中华书局，下册，896页）。",
