（1），《元和郡县图志》卷38?岭南道?陆州：“华清县，西至州一里。本名玉山县，天宝元年改为华清。本在乌雷县北四十里。大历三年，与州同移于安海县理。”（北京，中华书局，下册，963页）。
（2），据注1《元和志》，故县治‘在乌雷县北四十里’，乌雷即今广西钦州市东南乌雷村，华清县古址当在今乌雷村北四十里。今据此定玉山县于广西钦州市东南坪山村。
