宋大观元年置县，为延德军（1）。治所即今海南省乐东县西南白沙（2）。政和元年（1111年）军县皆省（3）。

（1），《宋史》卷90?地理六?广南西路?延德军：“崇宁五年初，置延德县于朱崖军黄流白沙侧浪之间。大观元年改为军，又置倚郭县曰通远。政和元年废延德军为感恩县，昌化军通远县为通远镇，隶朱崖军。政和六年置延德砦，又以通远镇为砦。”（北京，中华书局，1977年，7册，2247页）。
（2），《嘉庆一统志》卷452?琼州府?古迹：延德废县：“在崖州西北。旧志，废县在州西北一百五十里白沙铺西南。”（《四部丛刊续编》，商务印书馆，1934年，170册）。白沙铺即今乐东县西南白沙村。
