三国吴置。⑴治所在今湖南龙山县酉水北岸。⑵属武陵郡。晋、南朝宋、齐因之。⑶约南朝梁废。⑷

吴增仅、杨守敬：《三国郡县表附考证》：“黔阳《元和志》：吴分酉阳立，属武陵。”《二十五史补编》，第3册，2951页。）
按：因无具体时间，暂作三国吴黄武元年（222年）置。
⑵《水经?沅水注》：“酉水导源益州巴郡临江县，故武陵之充县酉源山，东南流，迳黚阳故县南，又东迳迁陵故县界，与西乡溪合，即延江之枝津，更始之下流，谓之西乡溪口。”（《水经注疏》，江苏古籍出版社，下册，3082页）
又：《延江水注》：“酉水北岸有黚阳县。曰：温水南入黚。盖[鼈邑]水以下津流沿注之通称也。故县受名焉。”（同上，2971页）
嘉庆《清一统志》卷372《永顺府》：“黚阳废县在龙山县境。晋置县。南北朝梁省。”（137册，10页）
按：因无具体地点可考，参考《水经注》描述，暂定在今龙山县酉水北岸。《中国历史地图集》三国吴幅“黚阳县”三字以南。
