南朝齐由迁陵县改名。⑴治所在今湖南保靖县驻地迁陵镇东龙溪乡（乳香岩）南。属武陵郡。南朝梁因之。⑵南朝陈天嘉元年（560）属通宁郡。⑶太建七年（575）属沅陵郡。⑷隋开皇九年（589）平陈废。⑸
⑴《南齐书》卷15《州郡下》有零陵县，无迁陵县。（北京，中华书局，1册，276页。）当是改名，暂作南朝齐建元元年479年）。待详考。
