五代梁时，攸县迁今治（今湖南攸县驻地城关镇），并改属潭州。⑴宋仍属潭州。⑵元至元十四年（1277）属潭州路。⑶元贞元年（1295）升为攸州。⑷
⑴嘉庆《清一统志》卷355《长沙府二》：“攸县故城在今攸县东……五代梁时徙今治，而故城废。……《县志》：五代梁时，迁建县治，改属潭州。在今城南门外。明洪武初，又迁今所。”
按：暂作五代梁开平元年（907）迁治。
